I wanted to add my condolences on the death of your father.  I remember having music from him in the 7th grade and how much I enjoyed it.  He introduced us to La Boheme and I still remember him talking about Mussetta's waltz song and other parts of the opera.  We also had to sing a solo, which I did!  Mrs. Hyatt seemed to be able to play anything, so she accompanied me, and for me, that was a good stretch.  I hope your family can take consolation of a life well lived.

I so enjoyed seeing you at the reunion, catching up and playing your fun romp through 50 and 60s music.  I hope your health concerns are turning out to be nothing too serious.  There are surprises when we get this age!

Thanks, too, for sharing your mother's obituary.  I am sorry for your loss.  Your mother certainly had a full and substantive life. I learned to really admire and like the people I knew from Parowan.  I guess that surprised me somewhat in that I assumed that people from the big city of Cedar had an edge.  I knew such fun kids from Parowan who worked at the Utah Parks and my experience of student teaching at Parowan Jr. High/High School led me to really like the people I met there.  I also admire your mom's choice of a career.  Anyone with the love of books has got to be very special!  No doubt she was.

Have a Merry Christmas and my best wished for a great new year.

I did my student teaching at Parowan High School and enjoyed it very much.  I'm related to many people in Parowan both living and dead.through my mother.  You can see the Beaver Mountains from there where my great-great grandfather Warby and wife were some of the first settlers having immigrated from Australia.  And Cedar City is just down the road, just north of Zion, south of the City of Enoch and nie unto Kolob!

I will miss Clint very much. He was a good man and classmate. Both of our families came to Beaver from Astrailia on the same ship and it landed in San Bernadino and they came in wagons to Beaver, Utah  They left England to go to Australia to look for jobs  Anyway we love our Pioneers who sacrificed so much in our behalf to be able to live in this great country  God bless Clints Family   It is such a small world that my daughter Tammy married Jeff who's Mother is a Warby from Beaver   I told Jeff I had a good friend from school who is Clint Warby  Jeff said Oh really  he is my cousin  We will miss seeing you Clint               Sandra Torres

Sandra, I did not know that your family came through Australia.  Mine did as well.  They came from Rolvendon England and farmed in Australia for 17 years.  After joining the LDS Church they migrated to the United States on March 22, 1854 on the ship Julia Ann.  They landed in San Pedro Harbor in May of 1854  and migrated to Toquerville Utah where my father was born.  Clint and I had discussed the parallels between our families when he returned from serving a mission in Australia.  Hope you are doing well.  Michael

Just to pass on the information on Warren Rigby's funeral , in case anyone is interested. The funeral will be in the Cedar West Stake/20th Ward building on 1100 West between 600 and 800 South on Fri., April 28th. There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church with the services following at 11:00.Interment wil follow at the Cedar City Cemetery.  ------Ardis
