Jon Chesley Williams was born January 27, 1945 in Cedar City to Chester Dunford and Carma Davis Williams.  He was raised in Kanarraville and attended grade school there. 

After graduating from Cedar High, he went on to receive his BA in communications.  He did graduate work in Telecommunications at George Washington University.  He also earned his paralegal certificate while living in Denver.

He married Jane Mortensen in 1970 in Las Vegas, NV.  They had one son, Jeremy Patrick Williams, who passed away from brain cancer in 2011.

Ches worked at US West.  He enjoyed traveling and lived in many different states.  He enjoyed volunteering, gardening and visiting friends and family.  He helped on projects for human and animal rights.  One of his beloved pets was always by his side.

When Chesley retired in 2000, he returned to Kanarraville to help his mother. 

Chesley passed away on January 18, 2012.  He has now found peace and is free from pain.
