Douglas Edward Plummer was born July 21, 1945 to Joseph H and Geneve T Plummer.  He married Kristine Mullett on March 22, 1967.  They raised four children.

Doug grew up in Cedar City where he attended Cedar High and SUU with a BS in chemistry.  Shortly after graduation, Doug went into the military.  This led to a 24 year career in the Army, and he retired in 1992 as a Lt. Colonel.

Doug then obtained a second degree from the U of U in medical laboratory science and worked at Heredilab in S.L. for 16 years.  He loved playing tennis and golf.

He passed away unexpectedly on February 15, 2012, in Virginia, at the age of 66.  At the time of his passing, he was serving with his wife, Kris, as military relations missionaries in Washington D.C.
