MARY LOU MACKELPRANG is not feeling well. She has had COPD for quite awhile, but after pulling weeds, her back is hurting. The doctor says her spine is shrinking. Hopefully, Mary Lou will have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
VERL PRESTWICH was interrupted by my phone call. He was listening to Public Radio: "The Sexual Habits of Snails." Only Verl !!! Verl hasn't felt very well, so he usually stays at home.
He really enjoyed Church today. A lady spoke about the women in the Bible. Mary was a very common name, and women weren't treated very well. A girl could be sold by her father or husband as a slave.
Verl is working on some "Down Winder" material, so I let him go through our junior high yearbook. He says we were all UGLY in junior high. (Says the man who is interested in the sexual habits of snails!) In his opinion, the only good-looking boys were Ray Orton and LeRoy Miller. That is Verl's story, and he is sticking to it! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VERL

LENORA ADAMS (ROUNDY) and Gene have been traveling to see their kids. Lenora hopes to join us for lunch sometime, and she keeps track of "goings on" through our page. Have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LENORA

** BARBARA TWITCHELL (HULET) passed away early this morning (April 16, 2026) in her home in Cedar. There will be a viewing Friday, March 20, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Southern Utah Mortuary. A Graveside Service will be Saturday, 1:00pm.
Barbara Twitchell Hulet, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on March 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life centered on faith, family, and service.
She was born to Carl and Eula Twitchell, who preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, Michael Rex Hulet, on November 27, 1964, in Cedar City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized for eternity in the St. George Temple. Together they built a life grounded in devotion to one another and their family.
Barbara was raised in Cedar City where she graduated from Cedar High School. She worked at Mountain Bell as a telephone operator and later office manager. When the company dissolved, she went on to work at St George Federal Credit Union and the Division of Wildlife Resources, until finally taking a job at the Utah Department of Corrections where she worked as the office manager for the warden in Cedar City and then in the finance department in Draper before retiring. She had a talent for making and keeping lifelong friends everywhere she went!
She was a devoted mother to five children: Curtis (Ranon), Scott (Lindy), Michelle (Shawn), Travis (stillborn baby), and Marrit (Kirt). Her greatest joy came from her growing posterity. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense happiness to her life.
Great things happen to those who don't stop believing,
trying, learning, and being grateful. ―Roy T. Bennett
