** BARBARA TWITCHELL (HULET) passed away early this morning (April 16, 2026) in her home in Cedar. There will be a viewing Friday, March 20, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Southern Utah Mortuary. A Graveside Service will be Saturday, 1:00pm.
Barbara Twitchell Hulet, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on March 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life centered on faith, family, and service.
She was born to Carl and Eula Twitchell, who preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, Michael Rex Hulet, on November 27, 1964, in Cedar City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized for eternity in the St. George Temple. Together they built a life grounded in devotion to one another and their family.
Barbara was raised in Cedar City where she graduated from Cedar High School. She worked at Mountain Bell as a telephone operator and later office manager. When the company dissolved, she went on to work at St George Federal Credit Union and the Division of Wildlife Resources, until finally taking a job at the Utah Department of Corrections where she worked as the office manager for the warden in Cedar City and then in the finance department in Draper before retiring. She had a talent for making and keeping lifelong friends everywhere she went!
She was a devoted mother to five children: Curtis (Ranon), Scott (Lindy), Michelle (Shawn), Travis (stillborn baby), and Marrit (Kirt). Her greatest joy came from her growing posterity. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense happiness to her life.
** SANDRA GALE (TORRES) has broken her leg. Get well soon, Sandra![]()

PHYLLIS CRABTREE (GILLINS-KELLY) came from Idaho to our last reunion. Her daughter, Chris, brought her down. They really enjoyed it. Chris and her husband went on a mission to Peru. They have quite a bit of money, so now they are helping the Peruvian people. They find people from the US to go to Peru to help build houses. They have built a medical clinic, dental office, bought wheel chairs, and sent over other equipment.
Phyllis has two daughters. She lost her oldest son in a car accident. He was driving in Northern Utah and had a stroke. The car crashed, and her son was life-flighted. The family was told he was on life support, and wouldn't survive. He passed away eight hours later. Phyllis's first husband passed away of cancer. She also has had to survive the death of her son and grandson who died of Carbon Monoxide in his home. Phyllis agrees that old age isn't all that fun. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PHYLLIS
